14-day money-back guarantee on every payment. No questions asked, no exceptions.
Who this policy applies to
This policy applies to subscriptions to CostTakeoff, a registered business name of CELCO GROUNDWORKS & CONSTRUCTION LIMITED (Irish company number 823396), registered office 40 Bay Meadows Avenue, Dublin 15, D15 Y66T, Ireland.
Payments are processed by Paddle.com Market Limited, which acts as Merchant of Record and is the seller of record for your subscription. Paddle processes refunds and applies this policy to your purchase. Paddle's own Buyer Terms and Refund Policy also apply; where they give you more than this policy does, you have more.
Free trial
Every plan begins with a seven-day free trial. A payment card is required to start it, and nothing is charged during the trial. You can cancel at any point before the trial ends and you will not be charged.
Our refund window
You may request a full refund within 14 days of any payment. We will refund it in full.
This applies to your first payment and to every renewal. You do not need to give a reason. There are no conditions, no exceptions and no deductions.
To request a refund, write to info@costtakeoff.com from the address on your account, or contact Paddle directly. Refunds are returned to the payment method you paid with, and Paddle processes them within its own published timescales.
What a refund means for your access
If a payment is refunded in full for the period you are in — whether you ask us or Paddle — that subscription ends. We cancel it with Paddle the same day, so nothing further is charged, and your account becomes read-only straight away. Everything you have made stays in your account — you can open it and export it at any time — but you cannot create or edit until you start a plan again.
A partial refund changes nothing: your access carries on as normal. A full refund of a period that has already ended changes nothing either — you have paid for the period you are in.
A read-only account is kept for six months from the day your access ends, and we email you before anything is deleted.
Cancelling your subscription
You may cancel at any time from your account settings, or through Paddle's buyer portal.
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period then in progress. You keep full access until that period ends and you are not charged again.
After your subscription ends, your account remains read-only for six months. You can still open and export everything you made, but not create or edit. We warn you before anything is deleted. If you take no action, the account and its content are deleted at the end of that period.
Export your work before your access ends. Keeping your own records is your responsibility — see clause 6 of our Terms of Service.
Upgrades, downgrades and seats
You can change your plan, or the number of seats on a Team plan, from your account (Plan & billing → Change plan; Team → change seats). Before you confirm, you are shown exactly what is charged or credited. A move to a bigger plan or more seats takes effect straight away and is charged for the rest of the current period; a move to a smaller plan or fewer seats takes effect straight away and the difference is credited to your next bill. During a free trial the plan cannot be changed; the seat count can. None of this affects your refund window: any payment can be refunded in full within 14 days of being taken.
Disputing a payment with your bank
Ask us first: every payment carries the 14-day refund above, and after that we will still talk. If instead you dispute a payment with your bank or card issuer (a chargeback), the subscription that payment was for ends and your account becomes read-only: you can still open and export your work, but not create or edit. The dispute itself is handled by Paddle, the payment provider, under the card scheme's rules; we cannot see it or send evidence, and a fee is charged to us whatever the outcome. A dispute about a period that has already ended does not affect the period you are in. If a reversal was a mistake, write to info@costtakeoff.com and we will sort it out.
Failed payments
If a payment fails, Paddle will attempt it again. You can update your card at any time from your account. If the payment cannot be collected, your subscription is cancelled and your account becomes read-only.
Contacting us
